Meet the Founder
Lauren Quinn
For more than 20 years, Lauren has worked alongside young people—as a teacher, school founder, and coach. One thing has become increasingly clear to her:
Young people become leaders by having opportunities to lead. And before they can lead others, they need to learn how to lead themselves.
As the founder of The Village School, a learner-centered, experience-based school community, Lauren saw firsthand what happens when young people are known, trusted, challenged, and given meaningful opportunities to lead.
Lauren created Arden because she believes more young people deserve those kinds of experiences—especially in a world that can make it easier to compare, consume, and wait for someone else to tell you what to do.
Arden gives young people space to know themselves, grow their capacity, connect with others, and take meaningful action.
Because the goal isn’t simply to prepare young people for the next grade, school, or milestone.
It’s to help them discover who they are, understand what matters to them, and become confident in figuring out what comes next.
Why Arden Exists
Knowing isn't enough. Young people need to practice.
